|We would like to thank you for the use of your great villa in Bradenton.|
Firstly we noticed how roomy the place was with two reception rooms and a large quality master bedroom. The place was furnished to a very good standard with a stunning south facing pool which was spotless.
The villa itself was located just east of the Bradon river on a quiet and spacious community. only a minute or twos drive from the local shops, restaurants and petrol stations.
All in in all we were extremely happy with the accommodation and location . Of course we look forward to staying again in the near future. 5 stars.

|Superb Villa – We have just spent a most enjoyable and relaxing 3 weeks in Tropical Lake villa in Braden Lakes in Bradenton. |
This airy villa has been very well maintained and is in a quiet location with a lovely view over the lake. The solar heated was great and sitting in the Floridian sun watching the bananas grow just outside the lanai whilst egrets fly in did make us wonder ‘does life get much better than this’.
All dealings with Peter and Rosalind were prompt and professional and we thank them for this. We would thoroughly recommend this superb villa to both couples and families.

|Lovely holiday in a great villa, so restful and peaceful to come back after a day on the beach or visiting area and then to sit out on the patio in the evening - lovely.|
We had a great day out at Crystal River, quite a long ride North but worth it. Swimming and snorkeling with the Manatees. Then a trip to Fort de Soto park and kayaking and another encounter with a Manatee who wanted to play around our kayak.
All the beaches are lovely but our favourite was the far north end of Anna Maria Island which was way quieter and the Sandbar restuarant on the beach.
Other favourites were:
Skinnys for burgers
Longhorn for steaks
Starfish and Swordfish for fish both around the docks at Cortez. Starfish especially for lunch.

|Our Family stayed at the tropical lake villa in Bradenton for almost two weeks in August. It lived up to all our expectations and more. Dealing with Peter through the whole booking process was easy and a responses to my questions was always timely and quick. |
We arrived after a full on hectic 4 day break in New York and were looking to just recharge the batteries. Having all the facilities of the villa allowed us to do this. The three children loved the pool - as did the adults!!- it was a great way to cool off in the very hot August weather.
Everything was conveniently close by - Wallmart and Publix are only 5 mins by car. All of the beaches are a short drive away as is the shopping mall. We did walk a couple of times to Applebees and Outback steakhouse both of which are only around 20 min walk.
There is no shortage of bed linen and towels as well as beach furniture too !!!
If I were coming back I would for sure stay here again and will have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone I know who is going to the area.

|I try to write in English.|
It's a month we have waited for all year. I remember sunsets at Coquina Beach and Clearwater Beach.
We have a good lunch at Rock-Away-Grill on Clearwater beach and Sandbar, Anna Maria Island.
I will remember to have read in Florida the author Stefan Zweig giving an account of his stay in Quebec City. We lived there for 33 years.
I recommend to you the biography of Marie Antoinette by the same author.
Peter and Rosalind, it was a pleasure for us to read your memo.
Welcome in your home and for us, home sweet home,
Paul and Claire,

Having just returned from Florida I hasten to write to say how much we enjoyed staying in your villa. It is well appointed and very comfortable.
Very adjacent to St. Petersburg and Sarasota with their many attractions. The islands and beaches also add to the local delights. No problem finding the property your directions are spot on. Thank you also for the welcoming bottle of wine and note. In sum we are appreciative of your kindness and already missing the sunshine of Florida.
Eric & Barbara.

|Thanks for a lovely holiday - it was just what we needed. The villa was perfect for the 3 of us.
We used Riverside Cafe a lot for meals. It's on 41-BUS N just over the bridge then first left.
We went to Bradenton Beach right down the end of Manatee Avenue. We found it had a lovely beach and the food was very nice.
Mixon Fruit farm - nice shop but did not do the Tram Tour.
St Armands Circle - very nice. Firkin and fox - good food and guinness.

|We have just enjoyed our third stay in your lovele villa. The weather has been hot, pool refreshing and we've had everything we could need here. Its a very well appointed villa.
We stayed 6 nights in Orlando before coming here and must say that this villa was definitely the better of the two. Its so much more relaxing here in Bradenton.
We enjoyed lovely meals at Applebees, Codys Roadhouse and again had the best burgers at Five guys. We enjoyed take-out pizza and wings from Casa-di-pizza (small place in the corner near Applebees). Delicious!
Love the shopping at Ellenton but Univeristy Parkway (I75 Junction 213) has some good shops too. Yet again the beach at the top of Anna Maria Island takes some beating, especially near the Sand Bar Restaurant. It's quite a drive to get there but well worth it.
We had a great couple of days at Busch Gardens - if you pay for 1 day you get a 2nd day free. This is the best theme park in our opinion, with the best rides. We felt Islands Of Adventure (for Harry Potter) in Orlando was not good value for money - in fact it was a rip-off.
Walmart is good for day-to-day shopping but Publix is better quality.
Hope everyont enjoys their time here as much as we do.
Hopefully we'll manage to come back again next year/
The Leslie family,

|A wonderful restful week on your perfect Florida home - everything you could possibly need (including Grapefruit spoons!).
Loved the luxury of the warm pool to ourselves.
Actually enjoyed shopping again in the quiet malls and never having to queue at a checkout.
5 guys do the best burgers and fries ever tasted; Outback and Applebees excellent.
Enjoyable afternoon at the South Florida Museum visiting Snooty and friends - a welcome respote from the heat.
Loved our stay. :-)

|Just back from a fantastic vacation in Bradenton. The villa was just as described and the weather was just superb.|
Cycling along the Legacy Trail from Sarasota to Venice. Loved watching the tortoises in their natural environment.
Cycling the Pinellas Trail. Head off to Tarpon Springs and there is a great bike hire place at the Trail head. Cycled to Dunedin for lunch and then back to Tarpon Springs for dinner.
Kayaking around Robinson preserve, along Manatee Avenue and right on 75th st W. We hired Kayaks from surferbus.com and spent a pleasant day paddling around the preserve and through the Mangrove tunnels. Truly amazing.
All in all a good holiday,
Richard and family

|Coming back to your lovely villa for the second time was just as we remembered…|
A lovely relaxing week chilling next to your lovely warm pool or taking a walk along the miles and miles of beautiful beach. The dolphins off Anna Maria Island were a real bonus. The weather was fantastic apart from the expected thunderstorm late in the day.

|Had another wonderful two weeks here in Bradenton! It felt like coming back home. Everything was as good as we remembered. We love the convenient location here. Busch Gardens, beach, shops, eating places - all within easy reach. Chilling on Anna Maria Island beach tops it all! Stopping at the "Shake Pit" on the way back from the beach was a hit with the kids!|
Had lots of fun in the pool - it was like a hot bath" Sea wasn't much cooler - 88 degrees!!! Thanks so much for letting us stay in your super villa.
The Leslie family,
|Wendy and Don Roper, England :: 22/06/2011|
|Hello Peter and Rosalind |
We have had a phenomenally hot time - 92 degrees plus and a sea temperature of 86 degress! Wow!
Visited Myakka and saw the gators but that was it apart from the birds. Water was low and they were anxiously waiting rain.
Been to several beeches - Sarasota, Venice - but Anna Maria really takes some beating. The restaurant bar on the beach takes some beating for the entertainment / sunset / bar / fast food.
We've also met some lovely US citizens who have completely changed our views on Americans AND what about TWICE weekly rbbish collections!
We have looked forward to returning to your lovely Villa abd we've had a couple of cook-ins abd made use of the lovely kitchen facilities.
Thanks for providing the hairdryer - a life saver for me! We have been very comfortable and won't hesitate to recommend you.
Thank you both for letting us use your villa and giving us a taste of US life.
Wendy and Don Roper,
PS Loved the HUGE bed!
|Rob and Jan from Whiteley Hampshire, England. :: 10/11/2010|
|Thank you for letting us stay in your villa. We had two marvellous weeks of beautiful sunny weather so we were out every day. Bearing in mind we are both in our 60s, we would recommend;|
- Maria Selby Botanical Gardens,
- Sarasota Jungle Gardens,
- Ringling Museum of Art,
- Mote Marine Aquarium,
- St. Armand’s Circle is a must!
As I am a petrol head the Classic Car Museum is also worth a visit if you are of similar ilk.
The Beaches are lovely, but we think that Siesta Key is the best.
The two local restaurants Outback and Applebee’s are excellent, but our favourite eating places are IHop and Denny’s on I41 for breakfast and Carrabba’s for dinner, which is on University Parkway.
We also drove up to Orlando for the day to visit The Harry Potter Attraction. Took 90 minutes each way – long queues (75 minutes) for the attraction. Glad to get back here.
The outlets at Ellenton are worth a visit – make sure your credit card is topped up!
We are sorry to be going home – it’s a lovely quiet neighbourhood and very relaxing here/
Once again many thanks,
Rob and Jan.

|The Eves family and Jonathon from County Durham.
Thank you for the use of your lovely villa, we really enjoyed relaxing throughout our week here!
The beaches around here are fantastic and we particularly enjoyed Anna Maria Island, Bradenton Beach and Siesta Key.
There is also plenty to do when you don’t want to bake on the beach. We visited the local outlets and also St. Armand’s Circle, which is very chilled out and there are some nice little shops.
Despite the rain at the start of the week, we had a great day in Magic Kingdom where we celebrated an engagement.
Thanks a lot ?.

|Hi, we have been coming to Florida for the past 40 years. Yes 40, I was extremely young!! My son is ten and had been here 11 times, so as you can guess we love Florida and especially Bradenton!!
This house is lovely and beautifully kept, the pool is very warm, helped by the fantastic weather, we have had only 4 days of rain total!!
During our stay the A/C broke and the inside temperature was 99C. I would like to say a huge thank you to Peter Hocking, for acting so quickly and moving us into another lovely house down the river for a week whilst it was sorted. There was no way we could have lived here especially as my Mum is 82 and has diabetes.
But this didn’t diminish the fact that we had had another fantastic time here.
We visited – Tampa Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, Busch Gardens, Muson Fruit Farm, Adventure Island and the Animal Rescue Centre on Bradenton Beach, (you can probably guess my son loves animals!!)
Our favourite Beaches are Holmes and Sarasota Lido Key. This is a lovely beach with all facilities, lifeguards and a swimming pool for either recreation or training as is has lanes designated for “proper” swimming.
If you are looking for some Good restaurants there is; - Stonewood on Cortez; Hemmingways in St. Armand’s Circle; Mr. Bones on Bradenton Beach; Applebee’s and Outback are nice for an evening meal.
Special Restaurants for special nights are;- The Sun House on Bradenton Beach (at sun down they have a special sun celebration); The sandbar in Anna Maria Island, which has an amazing beach setting and also does a sun down celebration know the sun set and you can win a bottle of bubbles!!
I hope you enjoy your vacation and fall in love with Florida and Bradenton just as we have!!
And oh yeah ladies, Ellenton is only 8 minutes away so shop ‘til you drop!! Bye!!
P.S. Le Barge does a lovely sunset cruise and parasailing is great from Cortex Bridge!!
|Sandra and family, Scotland :: 04/07/2010|
|Arrived here hassle-free yesterday a lot earlier than expected. Flight, immigration, car journey, etc. all straightforward and found the villa easily. What a super place you have here! We have stayed in Bradenton 3 times previously and this is by far the best villa. Extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need. |
The weather was rather wet when we arrived and the forecast for today (Tues) is cloudy with rain but hot (88) with things improving tomorrow. We don't really mind the weather as it's just so good to be back here and there's plenty to do.
It's 4:30am here and the kids are up having breakfast! Think I'll go and do the same as we can't sleep.
Many thanks for letting us rent your home.
|Richard Gibson and family :: 12/05/2010|
|Weve been going to Florida for just over 20 years now and stayed in many villas over those years and both my wife and myself agreed that yours was the cleanest villa we had ever stayed in.
Great location for pretty much everything that Bradenton/Sarasota has to offer.
The Outback Steakhouse has always been a family favourite of ours from great steaks, so we were delighted when we found that there was one less than 2 minutes drive away.
Broke my toe at the Busch gardens water park, so i spent a few days hobbling around on a walking stick, but that apart, we had a great time and we move out for good this August.
|The "Mini" Gibsons :: 12/05/2010|
|We loved the holiday home it was very relaxing and enjoyable, laying by the pool with the lake at the opposite side. We travelled down to Saint Armands Circle; there are plenty of shops and restaurants to dine in.
It was also the Corvette car display which was “awesome” ?. (And Jerry Springer was also there doing a spot of shopping!)|
The shops, Theme Parks and Water Parks were amazing, we visited Busch Gardens and Adventure Island several times during the two week stay. Unfortunately my dad broke his toe at the Water Park, and had to be pushed around Busch Gardens in a wheelchair lol.
A must visit for girls on holiday is ‘Juicy Couture’ and ‘Victoria Secrets’ as they sell lots of cute items to take home for yourself.
All in all, the holiday was fab! And Applebee’s Cookie Desert is to die for. Hope everyone enjoys the villa like we did.

|The Nelsons :: 30/03/2010|
|We enjoyed our stay at your home. It is a lovely place. The neighbourhood is quiet and the location worked well for us. There was plenty of room for the 2 of us and then some.|
Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the pool and outside area as most days were cool, rainy and windy. We come to Florida every year at this time for Baseball Spring Training and it is usually very warm and sunny! We tried several restaurants and like Peache’s for breakfast and Cody’s Roadhouse for dinner along with the Oriental Buffet and Sweet Tomatoes in Sarasota.
Thanks, the Nelsons.

|Our 4th visit. Just wanted to add a recommendation for the beach restaurant near Bradenton beach – average priced food, but a great location and also for Acapulco Mexican on Lakewood Drive the other side of I75. Good food and fun karaoke on Thursdays.I think they have bands on Wednesdays.|
|David and Denise, Guernsey :: 04/10/2009|
|Tropical Lakes is a lovely villa to chill in, very spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice south facing pool area over looking the lake. It is located on a quiet residential development that makes you feel like you are living in Florida rather then being on holiday.
Bradenton and River Lakes is an ideal area for exploring with the main highways close by, or if you just want to head to the beach, one of the best on the West coast at Anna Marie island is straight down the 64! There is a supermarket within 3 minutes drive of the villa and the best restaurant in America is opposite too, Outback. Other restaurants are a little further away, but very easy to reach.
We had a very relaxing time, had no issues with the villa its well furnished and I am sure if you decide to stay here you would not be disappointed.
|Karl and Gladys :: 31/03/2009|
|We will be renting your home for the 6th year in 2010. We now stay for 2 months in the winter. We appreciate that you do something each year to keep it in good condition. We especially enjoy the pool area. That is my favorite place to spend my time. We eat our meals out there 90% of the time because it is so pleasant.|
I appreciate how well the kitchen is equipped for cooking even though we do go out to eat a lot at the many many good restaurants in the area. Thank you for being a very good landlord.

|What a spacious, comfortable and well equipped home to chill out and relax in - just what we needed. This was our eleventh time in some part of Florida and the whole package ranks in the top three of our favourites. |
We hope to return to Florida early in 2008 and will certainly plan to include Bradenton and if things go our way, another stay at 4314 (vacancies permitting!).
Thank you very much,

This is to confirm that we have received the cheque for the returned security deposit, many thanks.
We would also like to say thanks for the rental and that we very much enjoyed our three weeks in Bradenton. This was our sixth time to holiday in Florida, but our first in Bradenton. We definitely think that Bradenton is the best location we have experienced so far and the location of your house is particularly convenient. We appreciated the fact that there was such a wide range of choices for restaurants and places to visit within easy reach of the house and that every essential could be bought within 5 minutes drive. The location is extremely handy for getting to the Orlando theme parks with the highway being so close. You have made a good choice and we wish you well with it.
Be assured that when we think about returning to Florida again, Bradenton and your house in particular will be top of the list.
Many thanks from all of us.
|Leigh, Jo, Brooke and Tru, West Midlands, England :: 28/06/2007|
|We had a great holiday staying at the villa, which we found to be an ideal base for a family with young children, having all facilities at hand. The children loved the pool (a constant warm temperature!) our 3 year old would have been in there 24/7 had we let her! |
Nearby beaches are beautiful, our favourite being Anna Maria and Bradenton. We enjoyed trips to Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Mote Aquarium and had day trips to Magic Kingdom and Sea World - long drive and very tiring but worth it to see the children's faces! There are numerous restaurants to choose from, all very reasonably priced. The children loved Applebees, which is very close to the villa, we also recommend Sharkeys at Bradenton beach.
The villa is a real 'home from home', great to come back to after a busy day out, or spend a day by the pool relaxing. Also appreciated being able to put the children to bed and have a drink by the pool or watch T.V from the very comfy sofas, far better than being confined to a hotel room!

|Tony George :: 29/04/2007|
|We have just returned from two fabulous weeks in this very comfortable and well appointed villa. The villa is ideal for three couples in the well furnished bedrooms and reception rooms, it also has a fantastic swimming pool and sun bathing area.
The villa is located in a quiet residential area near to shops and restaurants. We recommend two local restaurants Applebees and The Outback for excellent food and friendly service.
Places we enjoyed visiting were Venice Beach, which is great for viewing Dolphins and Manatees, we also recommend Sharkeys a thatched bar and restaurant with a wooden jetty also we recommend Anna Maria Island for its lovely soft white sandy beaches and again a wooden jetty for fishing and a bar for a glass of "Bud", we also enjoyed the many shopping outlets in the area, (better bring an empty case next time).
The above is a brief summery of a brilliant holiday and a villa which we strongly recommend.
Thank you for a great holiday

Thank you for the use of your lovely home and we took care of it as we would our own. It was just what we needed after moving home in May and all the work it required. |
Have been to Orlando and Charleston S.C. but never got any farther than Clearwater. This was perfect. We love to shop do the outlets were for us. We also enjoyed the Desota Mall and if you are not a USA citizen you can go to Macys customer service and get a card that gives you 11% of all of your purchases for a 30 days. We got some great bargains.
The eating places you recommended were superb and directions first class.
The villa was so quiet and the pool was a joy. As there was just the 2 of us we just used half the house but it is so spacious we might bring the family. But maybe not.

|Nicky, Andrew, Charlotte, Loulou and James, Newbury :: 20/08/2006|
|How lucky we were that I met Rosalind at Julie's class in Northcroft and learned about their lovely holiday home... This has been the perfect antidote to our hectice week in Orlando - we've loved the beaches especially Coquina and Siesta Key, enjoyed the shopping at Ellenton and Armands Circle and had some fantastic (and inexpensive by UK standards) meals out - most notably at the Sandbar and Beach House restaurants.|
When we've had withdrawal symptons for theme parks we also managed a successful (but wet!) trip to Busch gardens. The pool has also been put to good use and all available children's DVDs watched! Have we missed anything? ONly a teapot but we made do.
If the childrfen pursuade us to 'clean up' the other Orlando attractions some day we'll be back here again as we've greatly enjoyed our visit and also never managed a trip to the recommended Crab Trap.
Hope all subsequent visitors enjoy the house and this area as much as we did!
Nicky, Andrew, Charlotte, Loulou and James, Newbury, UK
PS "Mi Pueblo" Mexican restaurant in Sarasota (Tuttle Ave) and the "New York Italian Ices Shop" (Avenida Messina, Siesta Key) were particular favourites of the children.
|Rob, Sarah, Emma and Frances :: 20/07/2006|
|We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to your villa and were sad to leave. We mostly spent our time relaxing by the pool or visiting the superb beaches and swimming in the warm sea. Also visits to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island were particularly enjoyed by the children. It was good to find so many different places to eat out nearby and with the exchange rate almost everything was so much cheaper than at home. Our favourite was the Sandbar restaurant; with a table on the sand, sun setting across the Gulf, margarita cocktails and superb seafood - what more could you want?|
Your villa is really well equipped. I wish our bedroom at home was big enough to accommodate the huge bed you have here; indeed, all the rooms are so much larger! A suggestion for improvement would be removal of the TV as the kids seemed to spend too much time watching it as with all the channels you have they always seemed to find something of interest.
We look forward to returning as soon as we can.
|Duncan, Catherine and Matthew :: 20/04/2006|
|This was our first family holiday in Florida and what a fantastic time we had. The Americans were just so friendly towards us. The weather was great although I'm told it's excellent all year round. We were so glad we used the Gulf Coast as our base since it's close to everywhere. |
We spent a few days in Orlando and were glad to return to this peaceful paradise.
There was so much for our son Matthew to do and he especially loved the beach and playing in the waves.
The restaurants were plentiful and our family favourite was Mr Bones.
|Karl and Gladys :: 19/03/2006|
|We have enjoyed our stays in your villa in Florida. Everything has been very nice and I can't think of anything we don't like. One thing we appreciate are the Pool towels. They take up so much room in a suitcase. This was a nice surprise the first time we visited. |
One thing that came to mind is that it would be nice to have a remote garage door opener.
|Peter, Rosalind and Suzanne :: 24/12/2005|
|This was our first visit at Christmas time and as always we had a great time. It was wonderful to see all the gardens decorated so splendidly and to sample a true Floridian Christmas. It seemed a little odd however being able to soak up the sunshine on the beach and to lounge around the pool. |
There is now a Christmas tree available for this year!
|The Harpers :: 24/08/2005|
|We have had a great time in your beautiful villa in Bradenton. We’ll never go to Orlando again! Who wants to queue for hours at Disney when you can be relaxing on the beautiful beaches or exploring the natural wonders of Florida at Myakka River park (I75 exit 205, SR72 east) and if you want roller-coasters Busch Gardens is only a short drive and it serves free beer!
It was great to come home after a day out and spend an hour or two in the pool relaxing before going out for dinner. We also found the extra living room very useful when the children wanted to watch TV and we wanted to sit and talk. This will make our house in England feel very small compared to here.
Prime Outlets is definitely worth a visit. If you are into designer clothes then you can probably save enough to pay for the holiday.
If you want fantastic seafood and a beautiful sunset go to the Beachhouse, Bradenton Beach, if you are lucky you might see dolphins swimming past…
|Tracey, Dave, Rachel and Michael :: 06/08/2005|
|We have been on holiday to Florida a number of times and this is unquestionably the best villa in the best location we have ever had.
Highlights have included plunging 200ft on Sheikra, the new roller coaster at Busch Gardens, exploring the mango groves by kayak from Motte Marine, watching the dolphins while swimming at Bradenton beach and of course just chilling out by the pool.
The café on Bradenton pier is now closed but I think the chef has moved to the adjacent Bridge Tender Inn, as the Grouper sandwiches there are fantastic!
The other restaurant we’d recommend is Mr Bones for the best BBQ ribs you will ever taste. (Take 64 almost to the beach, turn left on Gulf drive, 400 yds on left)
Suggestions for the villa? Change nothing it’s great!

|Thank you Peter, Rosalind & Suzanne for the loan of your lovely home. We had a wonderful week just chilling (in 85 temperature).
Went to most of your recommended places but would add the Sandbar Restaurant right on the north of Anna Marie (on the beach), turn right at the end of 64 (Manatee beach) follow road for about 2 miles and Sandbar is on the left. 50 dollars buys great seafood amd the odd glass of booze.
On our way now to Naples & Marco Island. Hoping to go to Englewood on the way. Your poolman has a house there and recommends a visit to this old fishing 'village'. We'll let you know what it is like.
Again many thanks,

|We have enjoyed our stay in your home. This is the best equipped kitchen we have had when renting. Thank you. We especially enjoyed the pool area. It was so pleasant sitting in the sun by the pool and even under the covered part when it rained. |

Thanks for sorting out our stay in your beautiful home at such short notice via the 'net'. Finding the box with the combination lock when we arrived around 1 am (flight delays etc) was a bit like the Krypton factor! ...but it worked.
Just me and my wife in your house for the two weeks so plenty of room. Wish it was ours.... but it's only bricks and mortar! That's what we tell ourselves anyway. Been to Florida over the last 15 years or so and we know the ropes. First time we have actually stayed in the Bradenton area. Enjoyed the location and the beaches. Encountered a couple or three colds days but weather was otherwise warm.
Thank you very much,

|What a great place to stay. Loads of space and everywhere so clean. We all loved the pool - it was great to come home after a busy day and just dive in!
On Mon 4th Oct, Paula and Darren got married on Siesta Key. It was fantastic with the whitest sand you will ever see and the sunset was amazing!!! We enjoyed eating at Applebee's - brilliant steaks - the kids liked the American Hot dogs.
We are now off to Orlando for two weeks to swim with the dolphins and meet Mickey. What a brilliant holiday and honeymoon.

How can such a beautiful house be still available on the 23rd July. How lucky we were that it was! This is really 5* resort luxury with more privacy than you can wish for. The girls preferred the pool over the beaches, can you imagine? However, we succeeded in sitting it out for 10 days. Tomorrow we sail south (I-75) to Miami where we'll only have two hotel rooms. That will probably feel like being in prison for the last 3 days of our holiday.
With a great kitchen like the one here there was not much beed for dining out. Although we've spent some evenings outside the house. Walking around St Armands Circle is quite nice for American standards. Hemingway's retreat is quite good! Parking no problem!
We hope that everybody here will have such a great time we had,

|An eleventh hour booking to Sarasota! Thanks for getting everything sorted so quickly.
It's a beautiful home from home with everything you need - I loved the big bed!
Kids enjoyed Applebees - Riblets! Won't forget my 13 year old daughter's face when hers arrived! Huge plateful! Anna Maria is heavenly, Beach Cafe - great - we also liked Cracker Barrel (on I-75 Junc) breakfasts.
WARNING: We got pulled in by police - failing to stop at the junction of this road at 11'oclock at night when road was empty - police car lurks with lights off!! Got away with a caution! Scary though.
Publix supermarket much cheaper than Win Dixie.
Off now for another week at Manasota Key - if its half as good as this week - we will have a wonderful time.

|We are staying here just for one week whilst hunting for our own prperty here in Bradenton. We think we found the perfect house yesterday - just waiting to hear if the offer was accepted! Funnily enough we looked at this home in February and almost bought it - you must have pipped us to the post - you've made it lovely. Really like the leather sofas!|

|We have enjoyed our stay here in Bradenton; 3 couples plus a baby slept comfortably in the bedrooms. The closet in the double bed guest room makes a perfect almost sound-proof nursery!!
We were here for our cousin's high school graduation from Bradenton Christian School. We had a wonderful time visiting with all of our relatives - we had a rousing game of pool volleyball with a makeshift net and the beach ball.
Some retaurants and places of interest:
o Mexecali Restaurant - great Mexican!
o Peach's - good breakfast
o All you can eat Pancakes and Sausages on the Beach (straight down Manatee til you run into the ocean). Awesome breakfast!!
Thanks for everything
